Applebee's Blondie

Applebee's Blondie is my most favorite dessert on the face of the planet. I recently found a recipe for them. Ross and I made them and it was JUST like it and actually super easy to make, and BONUS it is all totally normal ingredients that you would find in your kitchen!!

Here it is.

Walnut Blondie with Maple Butter Sauce

Walnut Blondie Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/8 tsp. salt

  • 1 C all-purpose flour (sifted)

  • 1/4 C chopped walnuts

  • 1 C packed light brown sugar

  • 5 1/3 Tblsp. butter

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 Tblsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 C white chocolate chips

Maple Butter Sauce Ingredients

  • 3/4 C real maple syrup

  • 8 Tblsp (1 stick) butter

  • 3/4 C packed light brown sugar

  • 1/4 C chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Add the baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the already sifted flour, then sift the dry ingredients again. Add the chopped walnuts and mix well, set aside.

  3. Add the brown sugar to the melted butter and mix well. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.

  4. Stir in the flour mixture, a little at a time, until well incorporated. Stir in the whilte chocolate chips.

  5. Spread out the batter in a 9x9 inch nonstick pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. The blondie is cooked when a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.

  6. To make the maple butter sauce, cook the maple sauce, cook the maple syrup and butter over low heat until the butter is melted. Stir in the brown sugar until completely dissolved . If you desire, add the walnuts.

  7. Serve the blondie warm with ice cream and the maple butter sauce.

And there you go! The best dessert ever!
