Pumpkin Hate and Halloween

I hate anything made with pumpkin. Gross. I have been reading blogs all month and every single one seems to have a pumpkin inspired baked good on it. Just not a fan for some reason. I do love pumpkin seeds though!

I guess it begs the question....

Am I the only one who hates pumpkin?

On a side note, Ross and I carved pumpkins on Monday. SUPER DUPER fun. But sadly we didn't get very many pumpkin seeds to bake. Mine had about 3/4 C of them and Ross's were rotten :(

Saturday Ross had his work Halloween party. It was at a local bowling alley. It was pretty fun! Sadly, we got no pictures together but I did get or two of him (pictures to come). I always feel like dark bowling alleys aren't the right place to take pictures. The flash goes off, ruins someone's game and then we have a fight on our hands. Just won't do it!

This year I got Sophie a Halloween costume. I wanted one of the fun costumes, like a banana or jailbird but Ross wouldn't let me do it. So I got her a T-shirt instead. But I thought it was fun anyway!

I am very much looking forward to the little trick or treators that come on Sunday. Although we usually only get one or two. Maybe this year we will get more, who knows. Today is a VERY cold, rainy (soon to be snowy) and WINDY here in the upper tundra. So I hope it gets nicer by Sunday for the big day.

Friday Favorite

This week's Friday Favorite is a simple one. Something I'm sure everyone has tried and loved at some point. For me I have rediscovered my love for St. Ives Apricot Scrub! I love the fresh baby soft skin it reveals below the surface after using it! I try to use it 2-3 times a week and am always glad I did!


On a side note I have also discovered St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub. It has Salicylic Acid for when your skin isn't behaving like it should. Also worth picking up!!!

Friday Favorite

This week's Friday favorite is actually coming on Friday, yea me!

It is also featuring Moroccan Oil. I have read about it on blogs for awhile now but it wasn’t until a trip home to see my parents awhile back, that I picked some up. Since then I have used it sparingly, it is quite spendy, but every time I use it I LOVE the results – soft shiny silky hair. I think I paid about $15 for about 2 oz. but it is well worth it. It is tough to find though for me living in the Great White North, for others it isn’t probably quite as hard to find. You can do a location search at www.moroccanoil.com to find a location near you.

I have heard that Sally Beauty also carries Argon Oil which is supposed to be pretty much the same thing at a lower price. I was going to try that but I came across the Moroccan oil first so I can’t compare the two for y’all.

What about you, have you tried Moroccan Oil, Argan Oil, or both? What do you think?

Off day

Does anyone else have days that you just don't feel like yourself? Like you are just disconnected from the day and what you're doing. I've felt like that all day. Totally bizarre. I'm sure I'll snap out of it tonight (I got An Education from Netflix and will watch it tonight). Plus tomorrow is FRIDAY and Ross has the weekend off, it is homecoming and it is supposed to be beautiful weather, so I know it will just get better from here!

Britney on Glee

O.M.G.

Britney on Glee was AMAZING!!! I loved the I'm a Slave For You song but Toxic was the star of the show by far!!! It was just indescribable. Artie's stronger was kick ass too though!

Friday Favorite

It is time to share another favorite with the world. Most of you probably already know I am obsessed with makeup. In particular I am most obsessed with LIP GLOSS.

Bare Escentuals, Buxom Lips is my all time FAVORITE! It is a plumper and has the best colors around.

Again, it is a little spendy for lip gloss, but totally worth it every time!
